Fashion

Fashion Print models are seen in printed advertisements and billboards, wearing fashion clothing. It can be display ads or collateral print materials. This is the most demanding work to get but pays the best because of usage and exclusives. These are the ads that can make or break a designer's reputation. With these ads it is very important that the concept, photo, and model work perfectly to convey the 'image' that is wanted.

Attractive with a well toned body. Not to strict requirements if done for free, but if a potential career in Modelling is the objective, then requirements (as noted elsewhere on this page) will be a determining factor.

The term 'alternative' suggests that alternative modelling is classed as any model with a look which doesn't fit into mainstream modelling, so height, size, and even what would be considered 'beautiful' are all up for tradition-smashing, but whilst it's true that there's a wide variety of alt model looks, it's not quite that open a term these days. With the rise of social networks, mass marketing with sites like suicide girls and god girls, the term 'alt model' has definitely become associated - at least in the world of online media, with body art, burlesque, retro pinup, gothic and fetish looks. Many of the girls do sit outside of what would be considered 'high-fashion' proportions, but the look has definitely become more and more recognisable as 'alt' in recent years, as its popularity has spread.

Pus-size model is "full-figured model," "extended-sizes model," and "outsize model". Plus size modelling has become an expanding industry because it appeals to a large part of the population.  More designers are catering to women who are size 12 or above.  Plus size models are hired for modelling jobs just like fashion, catalogue, print, and lingerie models. They do runway shows for brand-name designers and work for an increasing number of national retailers and department stores, and local boutiques who sell plus-size clothing.

Models must have good body lines, excellent legs are also important, good classic, contemporary look there is no room for too funky looks. Hair length should be just to shoulder or longer with lots of body for fullness. Plus size models must pay particular attention to skin, hair, nails, smooth legs and many of the plus girls do lingerie - so perfect measurements help. You should have a well-toned, curvy body to become a plus size model.

Just as with female modelling, there are various types of male modelling (body part, face, petite, teen, adult etc.). Therefore, it doesn't matter what your height is, you are sure to find something suitable for yourself.

Male models must have a good body as well. Muscle and tone with strong abs is surely a great advantage and in some cases a necessity, but the model must also have a smooth skin. Any male model must work out; it's very helpful for their career. You are surely more likely to have better offers if you have a muscular body. Skin care is one of the most important things if you want to become a model. Basic care is surely not enough. Male models must forget standards that concern hairy body. Your body must be hairless and your skin has to be smooth. There are no special requirements concerning hairdos. Yet, if you have fashionable hair style, it's a great advantage. Don't forget that hair is a very important part of your body and style. Take care of it, use a conditioner. Beautiful hair may be key to getting into the industry.
